Once we got that figured out it was really good. Everyone does seem genuinely interested in trying to help though. And staff is always friendly. They seem very willing to work through our particular family needs. The activities provided are varied and residents are involved at their individual capacity levels. It matters to our family that Oakmont of Folsom feels small and intimate. Families of residents get to know one another as well as the staff members. The care staff proactively inform and discuss with me any health or other issues they notice. Many of the same care staff have been there since they moved in, which means they really know my parents and our family members. Unfortunately, my Dad’s health declined very rapidly. He went on hospice and passed away in January. During that time, every one of the staff was so supportive, helpful and caring. Since then, they have helped Mom transition into living without my Dad. But we've had been more than happy with the kind and capable folks who work at the front desk, the activities staff, the resident relations staff person...heck, even the marketing staff person has her heart in the right place and watches out for Mom and other residents. The apt is clean and spacious enough, the building well maintained, clean, and decorated. The environment is always lively and seasonal.
