They asked about our loved one. The facility was clean, beautiful, bright and cheerful. They had different areas where you could get out of your unit and go enjoy. They had a reading area, fireplace area, little gym area and other sitting areas to go enjoy coffee and chat with your neighbors or visitors.\nIt was Fall when we arrived and they had beautiful and fun Fall decorations greeting you at the front door. She was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's in 2016 at age 62. She has been non-verbal for several years and has no initiation impulse, so she needs assistance with almost all daily life tasks. Everyone there loved her because of her constant smile. The interim GM is a great leader and they all seem to genuinely care about the residents, and some staff members have/have had family members in similar institutions. However, staffing challenges common to most MC units and lack of supervision on second and third shifts often caused me concern. Generally, the food is outstanding and they provide many activities to stimulate the residents. Several of the first shift caregivers are outstanding and I trusted them to see to my wife's needs.
