Overall it's been a good experience but I would say to ask questions, ask for maybe an orientation. No one explained to us how everything worked so we felt a little lost in the beginning.

Not pleased
The staff was not attentive. The staff was on phone call and video calls when they should have been paying attention to the residents-they were very rough with them when trying to move them. The staff also acted very put out when I asked someone to communicate with me. No, I would absolutely not recommend this place.

Our tour of Manor Lake BridgeMill
We toured Manor Lake BridgeMill and the facility was okay. The staff was okay. The facility itself smelled a little less clean compared to others that we toured. It also seemed over priced. We decided to continue our search.

Tour experience
We toured with Manor Lake BridgeMill and right when we walked into the memory care unit, we got a strong smell of urine. I really liked that in the memory care unit they had a tropical vibe - they had happy music playing and it seemed bright and cheerful. I also was able to see all of the staff interacting with the residents and doing exercise classes and different activities. They seemed fully staffed as well. It really was a great place and I liked everything that I saw, it was just the odor that drew us away.

Our experience at Manor Lake BridgeMill
Our experience so far has had its positives and negatives. We have found that the food is not very good at all and they are having a lot of staff turnover, so they are short staffed often. The caregivers that they do have though are great. The location is also wonderful for our family. They are able to take care of our loved ones special care needs. We are hoping for some improvements in other areas with new staff.

Would Recommend - Comfortable and Welcoming Community
Our loved one was only at Manor Lake about 27 hours before she had to go to the hospital because of the condition she showed up in from nursing home. Her condition was much worse than the prior nursing home had informed us. I would highly recommend Manor Lake even for the short time our loved one was there. Everyone was nice and helpful. They asked about our loved one. The facility was clean, beautiful, bright and cheerful. They had different areas where you could get out of your unit and go enjoy. They had a reading area, fireplace area, little gym area and other sitting areas to go enjoy coffee and chat with your neighbors or visitors. It was Fall when we arrived and they had beautiful and fun Fall decorations greeting you at the front door. I wanted to pull up a rocking chair and just sit there and enjoy it. I had run into one of the residents twice and he seemed very happy with Manor Lake and said oh the Ladies will get your loved one involved in the activities. I'm not near needing assisted living but I was ready to move in myself. That's how comfortable it felt.

Wonderful GM With Many Caring Individuals Here
My wife was a resident for four months. She was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's in 2016 at age 62. She has been non-verbal for several years and has no initiation impulse, so she needs assistance with almost all daily life tasks. Everyone there loved her because of her constant smile. The interim GM is a great leader and they all seem to genuinely care about the residents, and some staff members have/have had family members in similar institutions. However, staffing challenges common to most MC units and lack of supervision on second and third shifts often caused me concern. Generally, the food is outstanding and they provide many activities to stimulate the residents. Several of the first shift caregivers are outstanding and I trusted them to see to my wife's needs. For me, the primary downside was that two caregivers (and one med tech) on a shift simply didn't have time to do the required tasks at a level with which I was comfortable, regardless of how much they cared.

Compassionate and Caring Community
Most of the employees are extremly compassionate and caring. They care about the residents, and do what they can to comfort them. The people were very compassionate. One of the caregivers, really took care of mom. With the help of facility and hospice, I did not have to worry about what I had to do and hey took over and took care of everything. I don't think you could ask for a better facilty.

Wonderful Staff and Great Community
They do such a great job at Manor Lake. There are lots of activities for the residents to take advantage of here. My loved one rushes me off the phone to meet friends and go to activities, which is great. If you see the menu and you don't like what they are having, they give the residents options for other food to eat. Every day is a different day, today is National Strawberry Shortcake Day, so they are making this with the residents. It is so nice to all the residents interacting with their families. Everyone is very approachable and go out of their way for you. The director of marketing was with us during the entire process. They helped me through the process of getting my loved one here. The support is incredible. It makes you feel good someone is looking out for your loved one.

Great place for mom
We chose Manor Lake because we liked the location, the facility itself, we thought it was a cleaner nicer facility than others that we looked into, and we also enjoyed the people that we interacted with as well. The room sizes here are very good, we were pleasantly surprised, she has quite a bit of furniture in her room. They are chef prepared meals and are good quality, we have met him because he comes out to introduce himself. They have been very cooperative during covid and have tried to accommodate the best they can which we appreciate that. I would recommend.

Would recommend this community
Manor Lake was a newer community at the time and it was kept very clean. The front of the house staff was extremely nice and very courteous. We felt the activities were improving, they did have activity time but we felt it was more on a elementary level. We were truly blown away by the food they served, it was more like a reset and we were very impressed.

Overall great place for a loved one
This community is great with activities. During lunch they would have a piano player there to play music for the residents to dance to, they also had bingo. During holidays like July 4th they will have big cook outs that they could invite family members to. They also had holiday dances for the residents like for Christmas or Valentines Day. There is constantly live music being played. They would also bring in therapy dogs twice a month for the residents. The food at Manor Lake was about average, however they had mixers every Friday so they would make specialty food there, like hors d’oeuvres. What sold us on choosing this community is it is smaller, but updated. It is very nice. Our loved one lived in a studio style room which was very accessible. The rooms were set up very well for all the residents.

We liked many things and so we decided to take the parents by for lunch and a tour. The floor plan with 2 bathrooms, the openness of everything, and the fact that everything was on one floor helped sell it. We liked [name removed] presentation. She got down to business and went beyond the basics. She asked assessment questions to get a better idea of where the parents were in their needs. A resident said he had been in 4 places and this was the best. Also, liked the porch, water fountain, the openness of the windows, and the fireplaces in the dining area. THere are married couples and a good bit of men which was great. We put down a $500 deposit.

Absolutely the best
Our father was in a great senior living facility but they were not meeting all of his needs, such as daily monitoring, checking his diabetes blood sugar level, and providing on-site medical assistance. We toured several assisted living facilities and found Manor Lake to be far superior to the others and at a very competitive rate. Moving him to Manor Lake was a breeze. His phone, TV cable, and utilities (all included in the rent) were already set up so we didn’t have to transfer any of his accounts. They make sure that he gets to the dining room (great chef) and takes his medications and exercises…..all monitored and logged in electronically. They even check his blood sugar and manage his prescriptions! The manager, nurses, and cleaning staff are the best and our father absolutely loves living at Manor Lake! It is such a sense of relief to know that he is getting the best care possible. Thank You Manor Lake!
